Like many Premier league players, Vardy is good at what he does whilst being a bit of a chavy knob.

Clearly he's crucial to the team's setup and recent revival, but in some ways he has always seemed expendable.
Why?

Great result this, massive three points after the Arse drubbing, which is something Homer knows a lot about.

Seen a few Norwich fans slating Vardy for "cheating" today. I only listened to the commentary on RL today so I assume this is in regards to the penalty and the knee injury incident.

Regarding the penalty, he's just clever, very clever. He gets the wrong side, waits for the contact and goes down its just smart play.

If you fancy a bit of a laugh, "TalkNorwichCity" on YouTube, the interviews on there are quite amusing. Particularly the one with the Leicester fan interrupting.

Is he... is he interviewing a ****ing FAN? What the **** is this? Why is it a thing?

My last trip to Norwich ended up sat in some grotty pub that had a rave going on in the basement. After a while resisting punching anyone we left and got in a taxi with instruction of "take us somewhere that isn't shit".....after his recommendation and quote for getting to London we ended up at the student union :(

Impressive win and brave tactics from CR.

I think we got an insight into why he made the changes he did when he talked about a 'battle' after the game. For all Mehrez skill he's not someone that you would want in a dirty, battling game. He picked a team to win and apart from a few brown pants moments in the last 15 minutes it did it well.
I think he put the two different full-backs in because of the way Norwich play. (I think he was expecting Redmond to start though) Schlupp really isn't good defensively and as much as i'd like him to be the next Baines/Cole I really can't see it. Fuches did well and it we're going to play 4-4-2 he'll probably be first choice for a while. Simpson I've yet to be convinced about.

I remember watching Albrighton at the beginning of last season and thought he was completely pants. He been brilliant this year. It crossing is excellent, and his work rate is exceptional. A completely different player.

Kante/Drinkwater brilliant again.
Vardy is just a different class and god help us if we lose him.

EDIT: Btw the way the above is based on extended highlights.

That cross in the first half from Albrighton was ridonculous - beating one, flicking it over another and then getting a yard on another to get the ball across that Schlupp was millimeters away from getting on to. Shame he is such a lazy bastard though otherwise he would have scored.

Albrighton has been consistently superb since about Febraury and him coming into the team coinciding with our great run at the back end of last season and us looking completely lost without him in the first half at Stoke is no coincidence I feel. He's one of the most important players to how we play. Not only obviously his superb crossing/long passing ability (and it's nice to have someone who can take a corner again) but I also think the defensive side of his game gets underrated. The way he tracks back and covers the attacking full-backs. I think one of the main reasons Schlupp never looked as exposed as De Laet at fullback despite them both being very attacking fullbacks is because Schlupp always had Albrighton to cover.

Absolutely cannot believe Villa let him go on a free and absolutely cannot believe Villa never played someone with such a fantastic cross on him when they had a striker so imperious in the air as Benteke. Beggars belief tbf, but I guess that's just indicative of the shambles of a way Villa have been managed in recent years and why they hopefully will be going down.
