Not like when you were a kid, eh Bob? I bet you didn't know about the Magna Carta signing until it had already happened.

Funny that. I would have expected you to know that the Magna Carta was not signed at all. King John could not write and merely attached his seal as a sign of his apparent agreement.

Ouch :icon_lol:

I don't know why the BBC are running this as though it is a new story. Here is their report from when Mandy (Lord, not Milan) announced it in the House of Lords almost 17 months ago. I suppose they'll soon be telling us that Greenwich is to be made a Royal Borough.
A week I booked off just after Christmas as it will cost only 3 days leave. Lovely stuff.

...and I would have expected you to know it was just Magna Carta, without the definite article.

It's the events that are being confirmed today.

People will also be encouraged to share Sunday lunch with neighbours

eeerrr... I did know it. eeerrr... but I didn't want to advertise the fact that BM had made two mistakes in the one post.

Are they going to move the Play-Off Final so it's still on the bank holibob?

Good question. They are going to move it but not in the direction you might have hoped/presumed. It's to do with the Olympics and the fact that no other major sporting event is allowed to be held in the country for the preceding (I think) two months. The Championship play-off final will be played on Sat 19 May with the League 1 and 2 finals following a week later over the weekend of Sat 26 & Sun 27 May.

Other end-of-season dates are:

Sat 28 or Sun 29 April - final Championship games
Sat 5 or Sun 6 May - final League 1 and League 2 games
Sat 5 May - FA Cup Final (Premier League games will also be played that weekend)
Sun 13 May - final Premier League games

People will also be encouraged to share Sunday lunch with neighbours

In civilised communities we do it all the time.

Ahh, but there's a mighty fine view through the chipshop window of the glorious Bigg Market and its denizens.

Beautiful stuff. Once walked through there with the missus on our way for a romantic meal on the quayside, nothing says romance more than walking hand in hand through streets of women pissing on the floor.
