Beighton, let me tell you summat. Six months ago, on this forum, I was stalked by a total filthy psychotic nutter, who had it in for women, and had posted porno filth about me on a weird website, and was stalking me through the internet. I was in pieces,and appealed desperately to the Mods, and was more or less told to STFU and what the F was I on about? Why the F should I get THEIR protection, like it was some God-given right that only they could hand down? Fortunately, I didn't get the same "F off and die" attitude from any of the other websites he stalked me on.
That's why I'm not around much, now.
It told me that this forum couldn't give a shit about protecting its members, especially if they claim some very minor celebrity or nouse. It also gave me a handle on the attitude here. There is only now Macky who has some semblance of courtesy, irony, sharp humour, and equal balance.
As for my stalker, like I tried to tell TB, but they wouldn't listen, he was a serious psycho aiming to hurt anyone who had even a whisper of a 'name', especially a woman. I knew he wouldn't stop, and I wanted TB just to strike his attacks on me dead in their tracks.
They wouldn't. Fortunately, Carter Ruck has now finally stopped him. He's a Yank nutter, well known. He bit off a bigger leg than mine.
We all, whoever we are, deserve better than the derisory crap we sometimes get from other people, and especially from the people we think are our friends. Joking is fine. I do it with the best. I'm ironic, beighton. It's my SOH.
But I don't often raise big red flags, and if I do, the issue is very serious. My 64 years of life have taught me that some men have no problems with feisty funny intelligent women. And some do. Some men know when there's a genuine cry for help. Others go in for the kill.
And some men are wankers. Because that's where they're most happy. Self satisfaction does it every time.
Macky, I exempt you from all the above. You are a mensch.
Thank you for your wit and intelligence, and your no-problem attitude to women. You like us. And we, I, appreciate that.
