In terms of a bit of quality for the business end of the season he would be ideal, sadly I fear NP would not touch him.

I do agree, however there is a difference between singing him on massive wages and a 4 year contract and using him as a boost for a play-off push for a few months.

I see your reasoning, but I don't think that he would bring much to the team at this stage of his career. The team we have at moment need to get their act together. Bringing Pennant in would be a sign of desperation IMO.

However if we do I just hope that its one of the handful of available very experienced players that is brought in - not the lets be helpful to a big club type deal which lands us with players who they want us to provide with playing time. Both SGE and Pearson have been suckers for this type of arrangement.
