The local Bookmakers will be happy. Do you have a Casino in Cardiff as I am sure they will have some attraction for him. :icon_wink
There, there. I'm sure you'll attract Premiership standard players again one day too.

.... as opposed to Michael Chopra. :icon_wink

But he's not Premiership standard, though, is he ?

Which is why Sunderland can't feckin' wait to ship him out the door

Chopra is and always will be a bit part player in the Premiership,he's clearly not up to it and the Championship is his level.
Has for Steven I fear he will always only attract very lower league players

If by 'Sunderland' you mean Roy Keane then maybe. This however is one of the comments from the Sunderland fans who've posted on our website......

Sorry lads, but I can't work out your board it looks a frigging mess! So, I've started a new thread, sorry!

However, you're getting back a super player who the majority of our fans will really miss.

He's always given 100% for us and in the opinion of many, has not been given a fair chance to play in his right position. Best finisher at the club without doubt, and I really hope he does well for you guys and finds the net every game.

Good luck, and I'll be keeping a close eye on your results and Chops in particular.

Perhaps this will remind you of his quality.......

But for every one who has posted on your board theres probably ten others who couldn't give a toss he's gone, they have Jones and Cisse afterall.Like I said he's ok for Championship football and he clearly loves your club judging by the way he had it on his toes when Sunderland waved a bit of cash at him

We've got some lovely youtube footage of one of our squad members from last year, but I won't post it as you can make anyone look good with a few ell chson clips

Aye, that Roy Keane's a complete duffer isn't he ?

Clearly doesn't know what he's doing :icon_roll

One point above the relegation area, and second worst goal difference, despite spending a small fortune. Expert Prem manager. :icon_roll

All the more reason why he would never let a striker go if he thought that he was anywhere near premiership standard

Don't get me wrong - it would be nice if we could sign a player who was anywhere near Championship standard. Actually League One standard would be nice

But that ain't going to happen in the near future, so we get on with the dross that we have got. There's no envy about it

But if you think that Michael Chopra is a Premier League player, then you are just making yourself look a little bit daft

Indeed,he wasted 5 million on a Championship Standard Striker:)
Another view could be that he signed a lifelong Newcastle fan to play for a team where he would never be happy, wasted the talents of a £5 rated Premiership striker by playing him in midfield and failed to people manage him correctly in the way Dave Jones did whilst he was at Cardiff.
Money got him into the Prem but that ain't enough once there. He's found to be wanting in my opinion.

Like Homer said theres no envy but I fail to see how you can say he is Premiership standard.Anyway hope he does well for you

We'll see next year when he helps take us up. :):icon_wink
