Another view could be that he signed a lifelong Newcastle fan to play for a team where he would never be happy, wasted the talents of a £5 rated Premiership striker by playing him in midfield and failed to people manage him correctly in the way Dave Jones did whilst he was at Cardiff.
Money got him into the Prem but that ain't enough once there. He's found to be wanting in my opinion.

You seem to have overlooked the fact that he's only on loan till Jan 1st 2009, so at the moment, he can only contribute to us going up to the Premiership. Game set and match.
