The FT are just stating the facts, they hadn't recieved the bid they are among the only people who have actually have told the facts during this time. i think thats more likely given the time scales, with enough shareholders agreeing to sign.

Can't wait for official confirmation. Well done Andrew Taylor - this cannot have been easy.

I don't see the FT in such a negative light (although the wording of some of their ealier stuff could have been better). To me it appears that they have been asking the sort of questions that I would expect from one of my Non-Exec Directors or Advisors and I have never read this as them being against the takeover (although I could be wrong)

Maybe one day we will find out the real reasons for the time it has taken (one or a few shareholders, MM/ Gaydamark, etc). I can only talk for the business deals I have been involved in and say it is not unusual (but bloody painful dealing with the vacuum in official news and all of the various speculation)
