I have to agree with you there I'm afraid, The Strokes album was fantastic.

The kooks have a couple of good songs but the album is boring IMO. The Fratellis at least keeps me interested

I think they are and have a decent songwriter at the front of the band. Kooks have fell into 'we're so popular in almost Take That fashion, so you cool kids can't like us no more' section.
