Hope we put out a strong but experimental side, I sugest the following,
but leaving the formation up to Craig Shakespear.
Then tweak it for the league match.

I doubt the team will be that strong. Certainly Iborra and Dragovic should start, maybe Huth Musa Gray Slimani
Obviously not as important as Saturdays clash but a chance for the fringe players to shine and if Liverpool play thier youth team it will give us a good chance of going through. I think we can sneek this 2-1 Slimani Musa

Hopefully we'll release Silva and sign him on a free in time for tonight's game then.

I'm looking forward to seeing Dragovic and Iborra. And I will again watch and hope that Musa delivers.

Agree with Miles Away here, the EFL cup is probably the only thing we have to make this season relatively less disappointing.
 
Would certainly seem to be an excellent opportunity to try and integrate some of our signings with some of the regulars.

But instead we'll have them playing alongside players they won't ever be on the pitch alongside in a PL match.
 
A chance to see how Iheanacho works with Shinji. Until Ulloa comes on.

But if Liverpool play their kids, then I think that's a strong enough team to get a result - and I hope we do. It's right to rotate, but would still be good to progress.
