Aa I walked back to the boat, I was thinking that we needed to start all over again, much as ManUtd had to do after the Munich air crash. Then this happens. I feel sick.

Dear God, this does not look good. Emergency services not rushing away from the scene is not a good sign. Just lost for words.

    Exactly this.

The fact that there's so many emergency vehicles there but no signs of anyone leaving is not good.

I was thinking something similar about a clean slate. Puts things into perspective, what an awful, bizzare thing.

I sat with my uncle today about 20 yards from where the owners usually sit. He pointed out where they usually sit as the seats where empty at kick off.

They could have turned up later.

Trevor Brooking at the game too.

    Horrible. Thoughts and prayers.

Stringer on R5L, says he did not see Top at the game.

BBC reporting that a freelance photographer saw the helicopter going down and by time he got the scene it was already in flames...

    Oh ****.

Just a thought too, but Gareth Southgate was also at the game. I assume he left before the end?

    I feel truly devastated.

I didn't go today as on a golf weekend.

    So gutted

Puts everything in perspective. Football means nothing. Feel numb at the moment waiting for news.

I’m at a children’s party with bouncy castles and cakes. On the brink of tears surrounded by American strangers.

Just can’t believe what is happening

I went to the game and got home (don't live far from the ground) feeling a little down about our performance. Not a thought that it would be any different from any other home game. This puts everything into perspective. We all have such different lives but come together for a common enjoyment and we are so unsure of what's around the corner. All my thoughts are with the owners family tonight. This is a dark night for us all in different ways.
