Yes he achieved loads with us but now it’s time, him Wes and Simpson all need to go in the summer and I wouldn’t play them for the rest of the season.

Yup. The individual mistakes weren't great (all 5ish individuals for the first) but we gave it a go. They're much better than we are yet we tried to win. Hopefully we can take the approach of trying to win into some of our remaining games.

Thought we were ok but Chelsea have more all round quality and more options and could afford to wait for us to make mistakes. Kasper has been excellent for us over the years but you can sense that his best days( for us) are now gone. I'm sure that their keeper would have seen us off if it had come to penalties so it probably spared us unnecessary extra pain.

Yes Kasper made a mistake, but he also pulled off a wonderful save in the 2nd half at 0-1 from Morata. I understand the criticism but he’d be snapped up by United, Liverpool or Arsenal should they be looking for a new keeper in the summer. The top 6 punish every mistake and we saw that tonight. We just make too many mistakes to look beyond 7th place in the PL. That said, if you offered 7th or thereabouts and two good cup runs I’d have taken that.

I thought Morgan was great tonight. Simpson just struggles so much with his delivery. His defending is solid but if you want an attacking full-back, it ain't him.

Chilwell stunk the place out. Again. It is un-bastard-believable he gets the nod over Fuchs time and time again. The constant inclusion of him in the starting eleven really is a living example of the quotation often misattributed to Einstein; Insanity is repeating the same mistakes and expecting different results.

I can't fecking stand Puel. That's the second time this season I've sat through two hours of a quarter final that was there for the taking and his pathetic, negative, idiotic, twattish tactics have handed the tie to the opposition. Chelsea were total shit!!!

We started too defensively. Vardy was completely isolated. Iheanacho had no idea what role he was supposed to be playing. We completely failed to cope with their wing back system and did nothing to address it throughout the game. We go behind.

Second half we actually make some attempt to attack and get the equaliser. We then look the most likely to get the winner until Puel gets his hands on them before extra time and sucks the life out of them yet again. We then proceed to play extra time like it's us that are knackered, not Chelsea.

So many examples of things we did wrong today that were easily fixable and he ignored every single one. He's no good. He's a fraud. He's not going to make us anything.

Please don't let him recruit a load of tedious, tippy tappy tossers this summer whilst several of the players with hearts like lions quietly depart. It will be the death of us.

We weren't defensive at all for the first 15 minutes or so. We went at them with pace and tried to force an opener. We got pegged back later on in that half and conceeded a sloppy goal from our own attacking play because several players disappeared into the ether instead of intervening. We were excellent in the second half and we pressed them fantastically well. But for a little bit of misfortune and with some better finishing we could have won the game in normal time. In ET we looked far more likely to score than they did until Schmeichel lost his mind and came for a ball that wasn't there.

We were excellent for the most part and the better team on the night. As much as you dislike Puel, your post is a complete misrepresentation of tonight's game and totally unfair on the manager. I don't think he's the right fit for us either if I am honest but I will change my mind if we play like we did in that second half for the rest of the season. Sadly, I dont think we will.

No, Chelsea weren't "absolute shit". They would not have had 60/40 possession over us to be that. That suggests we were. And we were not. I would say Saints position in the league now suggests they should maybe have not got rid of him. Most of what we did wrong was down to individual mistakes and we lost. Not unknown.
