This assumes that he has, and plans on using, cash - rather than funding acquisitions through secured loans. I have not been convinced by any of the rumour that he plans on throwing anything near this at the club...as much as it would be lovely if he did.

His sitting at the match will not indicate that he has submitted an offer or that the rumoured three shareholders will have shifted from their position. It will give hope to those who can't exist without a daily update on the progress of the prospective bid...but until the fat lady is singing...
