As I mentioned in the other thread, the staff at Leicester have said that his wages are something that a deal hinges on, as he's on mega bucks at Everton. Obviously he needs to be willing to take a step down as well - but there aren't too many takers for a permanent deal at present.

I have it on good authority that the 'big' player we're trying to sign is Yakubu, however wages appear to be a stumbling block at this point. We've also made a loan enquiry for Wayne Bridge - to no avail. There's also been interest in James Vaughan, but I think that has already been reported.
