The answer to this is really simple. World football needs to wake up and stop paying ludicrous salaries to grown men who kick balls around for a living. Until there is a wage cap clubs are going to talk themselves into debt.

    Great Expectations?

I hope you are correct. As I said, I am not a natural pecimisst. I prefer to look for positives. The thread was meant purely to encourage some debate. i am a bit confused as to why you think the squad is now better though?

Ahh but the mystery benefactor would only be allowed to invest a tiny percentage of their wealth. :)

    Great Expectations?

:icon_lol: No not quite. I certainly hope that we aren't in the position where we need to worry about going down. It seems odd that having made the playoffs last season that we would have to worry about such things, but we were very poor from Feb last year. Granted, we did make the...

    Great Expectations?

I'm not a person to panic or jump to silly conclusions so I hope that this post is taken in the spirit it intended, which is simply one of healthy debate. From about February of last season we experienced what I consider to be relegation form. I really don't see what has changed to suggest...

    Financial Fair Play

I just want the trust to follow up on their post in the 'who will be next' thread. In that thread the trust say:- "The club stated when releasing those accounts that they had an intention to convert loans to equity, but we don't know if that is all of the loans or some of them. We have...

Without wishing to appear too melodramatic, if we do not address the debt, a museum might be the best we can hope for. There damn sure won't be a football club.

    Financial Fair Play

Seems to me that that there is a lot of talk about holding on to money in case of a financial crisis but no real clarification on what is being done to avert a crisis. We are tens of millions of pounds in debt. A contingency fund of a couple of hundred grand is a tiny bit like pissing into a...

    Who will be next...

There was no rash assumption. My question was actually in response to your post in this thread. I assumed, perhaps incorrectly, that you would monitor your own posts just in case someone took the time to respond to you? If not, then forgive me. I do not live in Leicester and so will not be...

Conrad has never impressed me, not even as back up. I guess we can't afford much else though.

The annoying, but traditional, totally unfounded Summer 2013 rumours thread

I'm sure that there will always be teams that struggles in spite of parachute payments (you only have to look at the teams relegated last season). I do however worry about the widening resource gap between clubs entrenched in this division, and clubs that yoyo. They will surely always have an...

The annoying, but traditional, totally unfounded Summer 2013 rumours thread

The clubs that benefit from parachute payments don't (at least for next season) have those concerns. They can therefore afford to gamble a bit more than we can. The playing field is therefore hardly fair or level. Relegated clubs will always have an advantage.

Foxes Trust. I see you recently had a fans consultation meeting, but wondered if you had got any further on the points above? I am sure that a lot of people would like to know how we plan to manage our current level of debt and continue to fulfil the promotion aspirations of our owners...

Haha. I found myself getting pretty agitated by the mania on that site. Just seemed as though there were a lot of really angry people who felt they had a right to hire and fire the club manager. You might have an O2 contract but it doesn't mean you have a say in who is CEO of the company. I...

Nigel Pearson should he stay or should he go?

Once, for a continuous period of 6 years. His wife could say without doubt that she had Pashun though. Perhaps we could send Nige to him for one torrid night. Might appease the masses.

Then it is a motivational or confidence issue. A hate fest towards the current management team really isn't going to help that. I guess the only way to improve these sorts of problems is through encouragement and everyone pulling together in the same direction. In a nutshell the supporters of...

I worked with a guy who had the surname Pashun once. That is all.

Presumably it won't be a loans to equity conversion to the same extent as Al Fayed at Fulham, but I would be interested to see your follow up post. Plans to achieve FFP would be interesting given that the current level of salaries at the club is (or at least was at May 2012) £27m.

I have thought this for a long time. A lot of players come to us with a decent pedigree then go off the boil. You do have to wonder if it is something that we are doing.
