2nd wave and no football for ****ing ages

I expect, in the circumstances, 20/21 to be scratchy and disjointed - and considering the post-lockdown performances, this current team isn't very good in that environment. The Europa campaign is likely to throw up more problems too.

I am still confident that the team that played so well before Xmas, can still deliver whatever the horror shows we've seen in the last month. Build on that and bring in a grinder or two, either on the pitch or on the training ground, to put us back on track.

With Amartey back, do you reckon he'll be playing a prominent role in this season or sent out on loan? Admittedly I'm not his biggest fan. I guess he's another squad player who could fill in at RB or potentially CM if we desperately need him. Where is his best position and what are his best assets? (apart from that video from years ago when he ran like Forest Gump from one side of the pitch to the other winning a penalty)

Neither. If nobody wants to buy him, he won’t be in the first choice 18 for Premier League games, and will only be used in meaningless cup games and/or as backup to backup due to injuries.

Amartey is an ideal bench player, covering right back, center back and defensive midfielder so wouldn't be surprised to see him named on the bench often if he is fit.

Yes but we have better cover at tight back and midfield. And hopefully at centre half too if we ever bring someone in.

This season isn’t going to be very good, is it?

We should be good enough not to have to worry about a relegation scrap, but then we have a small squad and at last six extra games to play. Top half would be some achievement.

Exactly that. Decent odds on bottom half gents...
