What a disgrace.

he can open the batting for our 2nd innings, can't do any worse

I think he would make a handy opening bowler, get him steaming in to loosen them up, that's if he can keep it on the track.

unbelievable.

poor.

depressing.

Can't believe it, I bet Briggs wishes he could get out as quick as the England batsmen.

all of Englands batsmen were caught out, must be a bit rare occurrence

Any expert care to tell me why England would want to bat 1st today:102:

If we had put the Aussies in and had a bad day, we would still be in the game regarding getting a draw. The Aussies may have piled up 600 odd, and leave England around 3 days to bat out a draw.

I cant see England batting any much better in the 2nd innings. It just looks a very weak batting line up.

Bopara looks like his confidence as been shot to pieces. Bell does not look capable of batting a long innings against the Aussies. The tail looks terribly long.

Totally bemused by the decision to bat first, and by the team picked by the selectors:icon_conf

Had a feeling we'd be skittled as soon as I saw the batting order. Should have played Trott at 6 and brought Harmy in instead of Broad/Onions for the extra pace.

I dont know why they played Bopara at 3. Its a very important and demanding position. An early wicket and your are facing a new ball. Surely that requires a batsman with a sound technique.
It all looked like going pear shaped, because more pressure was put on our batsmen, who were already fragile and devoid of confidence.

It just shows that without 2 key players, England are exposed to having a very average team.
