another punter turns up and says the terms the whore wanted. Being in the position we are, the club opens its legs and takes the offer.

Isn't that what happened at Liverpool?

Someone came in with a late bid, offering the shareholders more money. The shareholders accepted it quickly because they knew the alternative offer wasn't going to improve.

We're like a whore whose after her last shag of the night. One punter enters negotiations and keeps changing his mind on the terms but with our pants down , another punter turns up and says the terms the whore wanted. Being in the position we are, the club opens its legs and takes the offer.

what a bizarre analogy :icon_lol:

Exactly. The meeting on Thursday seems to suggest that the club are actively involved with an alternative.

I suppose that if he is there tomorrow, at an away game again, there is a chance. If not, who the feck knows...

He was at today's game. He caught the 5:30 p.m. back to London. Sat in standard class next to an Ipswich fan, unnoticed by anybody.

So is this rival bid going ahead then or what?

It would be very unlikely IMO as AT and GC have supposedly agreed to NOW sell their shares to MM.

The FT have posted on another forum, that they will still be in existance for years to come. Wether thats with a minimal stake in the club remains to be seen.

Agree Hazzman. The large spread of shareholders here has certainly been a factor.

And the fact they are going to walk away with a fat profit from their shares. (I think I read they got £1000's per share, could be wrong).

Where as our shareholders would get next to nothing. Obviously it's all relative as our position is considerably worse than liverpool. But it's easier to convince people if profits are being made.

Can't see anything but MM taking control now.

Let's hope so - I have had enough of all the rubbish about 'alternatives'.....just troublemakers in my opinion.

However, I'm much relieved that the FT sees itself in existence for years to come. I don't know exactly what they have in mind to do, but perhaps they could return to compiling that fine anthology of LCFC songs.

run the 5-a-side tourny so we have an excuse for a curry on a sunday afternoon!

Anybody know what happens to the money the FT will get for the shares. At the end of the day it's not thiers, it belongs to the Fans who put thier little bits in to the pot to help save the club in the first place?

I say it should go into the transfer kitty.

they annouced a while a go the options for it, they said there would be a vote once they had it. Cant remember what the options were but I think they included giving it to a sporting charity.
