Total newbie here...but why can Liverpool have 2 bids for their club in a matter of weeks and have it all sorted to...at a cost 20 times what our club is suppose to be worth...sounds like someone does not want to sell and are dragging their feet hoping MM will give up....another wasted season

RL understand that while JJ would like to form another bid if he had the cash, the other 2 who resigned, who own about £700k of shares between them, have still backed the offer and are willing to sell their shares to MM.

Barber says he's now hearing Tuesday, but admits that it keeps changing.

Quite interesting what they're saying, if true. Something about us being in the top 5 most expensive clubs in the country to run behind the scenes (I think he said in terms of as a percentage of turnover). While MM's bid to the shareholders during the course of all of this, his investment will actually still be the same, he's just had to lower the offer because of the huge debts the club has. Barber says if we hadn't sold Connolly we would've made a loss of £4m instead of the profit.

I think that's about all that was said on the takeover..

Because they're professionals

Jason Jarrett has fallen in love with the club quickly then?

The takeover talk at Liverpool first became public in October, so it certainly didn't take "a matter of weeks".
You can spin that any which way you like. There was also talk of a takeover years ago if you wish to spin it that far back

The fact is though that from DD to complation was less than a week

For the people who eventually bought it, but that was only after months of pissing about with the Dubai Group.
So, you are including the time taken by a totally seperate takeover to fuel your debate :icon_roll

Why is it any different to what's happening at Leicester?

If the people who took over at Liverpool were really that interested why didn't they do something about it months ago, rather than leaving it until the last moment?
Or were they working away in the background all that time without any publicity?

If another consortium makes an offer at Leicester they may also be able to complete the takeover very quickly.

We're like a whore whose after her last shag of the night. One punter enters negotiations and keeps changing his mind on the terms but with our pants down , another punter turns up and says the terms the whore wanted. Being in the position we are, the club opens its legs and takes the offer.
