At the end of the day at least we did that.

But DAMN do we need to axe the shit and get some real strikers! I'm sorry to say that MA's attitude towards getting some quality in the form of JFH has pissed me off.

Those stats are wrong BN. Hendo made at least two saves according to comm, N'Gotty cleared off the line, so there's 3 on target for Acc at least.

I trust those stats over Barber and Rowett anyday.

They are usually very accurate, unlike Radio Leicester.

So we've signed 12 players, spent 2.1 million pounds, and then shit loads on players' wages, but how are we any better than last season?

In fairness though EAF, you can't expect them to just trot out & destroy all opposition right from the off.
It is trite, I know, but they do need time to gel.

I certainly have more confidence about this season than last.

Fair point Macky, but I do expect a better performance than that.

(I hasten to add that I was unable to attend the game and therefore am not in a position to express an opinion. My thoughts are based wholly on what I heard on the commentary which may, or may not, bear any resemblance to any person living or dead)

those stats must be wrong because we had 8 corners
 
What is it with some of you chaps? The board seemed in complete agreement before the season that a period of readjustment would be required, we lose the first game to a , let us say "unfortunate" goal, and you pillory the team, the manager and the chairman. You then strike the pre-match boards with your "bad feelings" about this game. We win, albeit not by a landslide, but we win and still you moan. Wake up and smell the coffee, very few teams slaughtered their opponents tonight; the season is young. Yes, there are faults; yes, we could do with more signings but for goodness sake, CHILL!!!

I am glad we won. I just don't think we should be turning good strikers away whilst we don't clearly have the edge up front.

It makes no sense.

I've no idea who that is directed at but, anybody that thinks that way is in the minority.
