Adams to Brentford

Skysports.com understands Brentford are poised to sign Leicester City midfielder Nicky Adams.

Adams has been a long-term transfer target for Bees boss Andy Scott and he is close to landing his man.

Leicester boss Paulo Sousa is willing to let Adams move on as he does not figure in his long-term plans at the Walkers Stadium.

Adams has struggled to hold down a regular place in the Leicester side since arriving from Bury in 2008 and spent a spell on loan at Leyton Orient last season.

Brentford are believed to be in talks with the 23-year-old as they look to bring him to Griffin Park

Not a surprise, as he has been nowhere near the first team since the season proper started.

It is strange that Pearson and Sousa have little regard for Adams but that he is admired by the majority of the fans.

I don't think it's that strange. The majority of fans are impressed with someone who runs around enthusiastically. Managers may require a little more than that.
