Just bobbed myself with the sheer excitement of it all

Onwards and upwards :038:

Wow, another spectacularly average signing!

We need players that can give us that little bit extra we have been lacking if we really want to make the play offs, not cast offs from relegation threatened teams.

Good news, only twenty-five years old, can't see them letting us having him on a permanent deal though.

It all depends whether they have a grudge against us. If they haven't I expect he will just be with us until the end of the season.

You should be down at the Walkers by now Harboro' fighting through the hordes to acquire the Bruce replica home and away shirts.

about on a par now Milan.........................I'm just wondering where that chap with the dark glasses and dreadlocks went to :icon_cry:

Yeah I was kind of thinking the same thing. I really don't want to be negative for the sake of it, but this is someone who cannot get a first-team place in Ipswich Town. Can someone explain why I should be excited? :102:

No reason to be excited. But we have managed to dump some of our wank (Dickov, DJ, Rowe-Turner) and replace it with a player Pearson thinks can contribute.

I'd rather City lived within their means than exceed their budget. As City fans we should know better.

Completely unmoved by this to be honest, as I know virtually nothing about him

What position does he even play? As in, what's his natural position? Because I've seen he CAN play right back, he CAN play in midfield... but what's his usual position?

Hopefully he does a good job

Natural position is centre half. If he was a natural full-back I would have been more enthralled as that is a position we are really lacking in but seeing as we already have a centre half who is comfortable at right back, I fail to see how this improves on what we already have an enable us to push on further and therefore, dead money.

Loan window still open for another couple of months though I believe and we we were never going to see any big money signings, so still time to add that little bit extra. :)

According to an Ipswich fan I know he's a central defender and he's simply just been pushed out of the frame because of McAuley and Delaney. Apparetly he'll 'give it his all' and he's 'determined'.

Maybe Pearson and co. have realised Tunch won't be back this season, so another defender was needed as cover.

centre back partnership in a shite relegation threatened club....hmm

From an Ipswich fan on the WSC board:-

"Bruce is our best defender, but hasn't really been able to get back in the team since he picked up an injury against Sheffield Wednesday. Our defensive record's currently the best it's been in about ten years, since Ian McParland came to coach, and Delaney moved into the centre (ironically to cover for an injured McAuley). Then Bruce got injured as McAuley returned, and Keane's stuck with what's working.

Bruce has only played once since - against your lot, but that was his lesser (if preferred) position of right back. He drifts inside too often for a right back though, and don't try him in midfield."
