Still no news regarding appointments to the backroom staff, very little speculation regarding acquiring new players and no word on Tiatto's contract offer, is this quietest summer down at LCFC in living memory.

Or is somebody with inside knowledge going to let on that things are just about to really kick off ??

to be honest i think it always seems worst each year but i dont think theres much different. its all quiet and then all of a sudden theres loads of news and speculation. to be honest i prefer it like this rather than being linked with every player out of contract like usual.

I am more concerned by the lack of movement on the backroom staff, I think it is very important that they are in place soon, ready and raring to go come the first day of pre season training.

Also it would appear that Tiatto must be "exploring his options" otherwise I would have thought he would have signed by now, he has had over a month to chew over this contract offer.

If you're talking about the Football League, it kicks off on 5th August - two weeks before the Premiership this year.

Actually there's more going on than you think... Ive just had a barsteward of a time trying to rid my computer of A TROJAN CALLED SPYWAREQUAKE..........instals itself on your comp without you knowing...... untill everything starts to slow to a virtual standstill

Correct - SheffU was 6th August. It was said that we were starting early because of the World Cup

I don't know why we are starting early this year but it's definitely 5th August.
