In these dark hours I thought I'd make my first post a look back at good times.

Here's my All time Leicester City team (only including players that I watched play for City)

1. Gordon Banks
2. Steve Whitworth
3. David Nish
4. Robbie Savage
5. Matt Elliot
6. Steve Walsh
7. Keith Weller
8. Allan Clarke
9. Frank Worthington
10. Neil Lennon
11. Lenny Glover

Subs
Peter Shilton
Muzzy Izzet
Gary McAllister

Alan Young

Manager though I'd love to say Jock Wallace I have to go with MON.

Some great players not even making the bench. We certainly have a great history.

Shall we do worst team line-up instead? I think right now it's more apt. Perhaps the line-up from any game over the last 4 years?

Welcome. :039: :039: Did you never see Lineker play? :102:

Welcome. Did you never see Lineker play

Hi.

I watched Lineker play as a teenager, through the reserves and every game he played for Leicester City. I was never as impressed with him as everyone else. I remember another youngster at the same time - Scott Hamill (I think), who I thought would be much better, what skills, but he was not sturdy enough. Gary was incredible within the 6 yard box he scored a lot of scrappy goals but I never felt he improved the players around him. He was on my top 30 list but not top 20. He also benefitted a lot from Alan Smith's unselfish play and height.

Pehaps in another thread

I feel that the team has lacked stability over the last few years - too many changes throughout the club. We need a period of stability to build back to the Prem.

By Sunday afternoon this team could have achieved what no other side has ever managed in this clubs history !!!!

If you saw the Doog play for the City it does show your age lol. Sammels was a good player but I didn't like him. Would have liked to get Larry May in but couldn't.

Banks
Chalmers Norman

Maclintock King Appleton

Riley Walsh Keyworth Gibson Stringfellow

Yes I am old.
And Yes these all played together.

This was the best 'TEAM'. Not necessarily the best players in each position to make up a fantasy.

I didn't see most of those play for anyone, I seem to remember Stringfellow being ugleee and I know for a fact that McClintock was a better player than manager.

Wise should never be mentioned

little shit

crap player for city.

1.Betty Driver

2.Kate O'Mara
3.Daniel Lambert
4.UnaStubbs
5.Gok Wan

6.Sue Townsend
7.Joseph Merrick
8.Greville Janner
9.Mark Morrison

10.Bill Maynard
11.David Icke

4-4-2 but adaptable and able to switch to a 3-5-2 with the pace of Stubbs and O'Mara alongside the stability of Lambert.A safe pair hands between the posts in Driver with the intelligence of Townsend out on the wing.Merrick alongside Janner giving a solid look in midfield and the flare of Morrison on the left. The front two pick themselves the old head Maynard alongside the imaginative Icke.
