Amjad gone home

Amjad has left Leicestershire due to his sore spinning finger. Doesn't look like Mongia will be back as Indian tour has been extended. Good opportunity for us to look at the younger guys anyway plus our overseas players this season have hardly been setting the place on fire, like most seasons just recently. Whos been our most effecive overseas player in the last 5 years? Asif?? and he only played a handful of games.

I suppose Hodge is the one that stands out really. Great player although a bit hit and miss sometimes.

Every overseas bowler has been a bit of a disappointment. Griffith, Cleary, Willoughby! Asif was ok but you felt he could have done better.

I would like to go for Langer and Asif next year.

Langer would be good. Ntini would, but only for comedy value.
