the Van Gogh and the other one near it (the Rijk is it) are very good

don't go in the Bulldog chain smokehouses, they are full of English bellends

The Melkweg is my favourite venue anywhere - might have someone on you want to see.

This is a good shout, similar is the Paradiso. I lived in Den Haag for four years, so went to plenty of gigs in those two places!

The Heineken museum and Anne Franks house, the boat tours on the canals, Rijksmuseum / Stedelijk museum. If you did want to visit the red light district, do it during the day, don't take photos there!

There is so much to do in Amsterdam!! One of my favorite cites!! The old city center is great - you should rent a bike it'll be quicker than the Trams and the nightlife in Amsterdam is incredible!!
