I would hope we've got a bit more ambition than Sam Allardyce.

maybe we're having a triumvirate. Sam "shakey" Moyes.

Allardyce is an even more ludicrous suggestion than Simeone

Yup. Amazed it's in doubt. Who else has bollocks for chops?

I would like to see Craig Shakespeare get the job. We seemed doomed to relegation. Under Shakespeare we became one of the best teams in the Premier League. It is unrealistic to imagine that an alternative would have done better.
The first quality a leader needs is judgement. If they do not have that then nothing else matters. The second quality is human relations. There has been no evidence that Shakespeare is lacking in either.
The idea that we should get a big name seems flawed. There have been no more prestigious names in English football than Sir Stanley Matthews and Sir Bobby Charlton and they both failed as managers. In managerial terms the appointment of Sven was mindboggling; sadly the results were not.
Do players move for managers? Footballers want glory- Champions League if possible if not then Premier League. Footballers wives want money - and agents agree with the wives.
If any organization is going to succeed it needs stability. It needs other things as well but stability is essential. It is no coincidence that our relegation to League One came in the season of four managers.
