(a) He probably won't even leave Wolves and the story is only about because they have just signed Doyle.

(b) If he does leave it will be to at the minimum at top 6 Championship team, which we are not.

People need to be realistic, we couldnt attract a player from League One, what makes people think we are going to attract an upcoming player who is now in the Premiership and was a key part of a Championship winning team? Apart from the fact he has been in the same team as Stearman :icon_roll

I agee with you that he probably wont leave i think wolves would get rid of other strikers before him.
But if he were to leave i cant see why he wouldnt come here and if you know we are not a top six championship side before the seasons even started can you give me saturdays lottery numbers please!

I think Willlow meant those considered to be top 6 by the bookies/experts and not the actual top 6 from last season.I took it he meant the Newcastles,WBA,Middlesboro,Reading type teams.

Its no good trying to explain it, people seem to forget that we havent even finished in top half of the Championship since we were relegated from the Premiership 5 years ago. :icon_roll

Would be a great signing, and actually think we could pull it off, we are as big as most teams in the Championship and Leicester isn't too far from Wolves this could be a "big big" signing.

Fair enough and i apologise for my misunderstanding but players do not always go to teams that the bookies have down as favourites,
Kevin doyle has just gone to wolves and he had offers from a few other established (if there is such a thing) premier league teams sometimes it the clubs ambition that attracts players plus the stadiums and training facilities etc.
I also think NP has alot of respect in the game i have never heard a bad word against him from any former fan or player.

Always the jovial optimist!! :102:

Preston were a top 6 team last season. Would you say that they have a better chance of signing him than we do?

You mean Preston who have finished above us for the last 5 seasons and usually challenging for at least the play offs... :102:

If you live in the County then you don't tend to hear what other people around the Country say.I mention I'm a Leicester fan and its all' you used to be this and you once won that'' its all in the past.Nowadays half of them don't know what league we are in and struggle to name a player of ours

Fair comment but hasn't every club in this division got ambitions to be in the Premier League and most have decentr stadiums now.I might be wrong and Keogh might sign tomorrow but I'd be surprised, very surprised

I live in Chigwell and never hear bollocks like that. And yes I can see a whole host of people lining up to go to Preston above us. :icon_roll

Yes they have so we have as much of a chance as any of them. As i said before i dont think wolves will sell him anyway but surely if he went to the likes of wba and newcastle he wouldnt get anywhere near the amount of football as he would at a club like leicester and as he has been capped by his country i am sure he would want to play on a regular basis.

You are very aggresive aren't you ? I've lived all over Britain and I can only talk from my own experience, yours is clearly different:102:

Am I why? I apologise if you find the word bollocks aggressive. Should I have said shite or rubbish? Would that seem less threatening?
