A lot of horseshit is being trotted out here.

Before you all carry on spraffing on about how massive and desirable a club Leicester is, it would probably help if you tried to define exactly what is meant by the term 'big club'.
'Big' in what way?
There's about a million ways to define it and you're all arguing using different definitions.

Yes I do, and I expect all of those clubs to make a challenge too, what the hell is so wrong with expecting us to do the same?

Your lack of ambition and belief is bewildering considering the momentum we are carrying, I also believe all the signing we have made except Astroid should improve us as a team.

But I must be wrong because Man U were not trying to sign them.

WTF are you on about, its a football team, bewildering ?? I have belief in things that matter. You will be the first to boo when we aren't top after 5 matches so don't spout on to me about belief:icon_roll

Especially if we lose to "minnows" Preston :icon_lol::icon_lol:

Are you seriously suggesting that a player looking to move clubs will ignore how the team has performed in the past couple of seasons and what the current squad is and concentrate on how nice the ground and training facilities are?

One player that we have already signed this season proves that your theory is full of holes Willlow.

I would never boo my own team HF, having a quick look at previous discusions will prove that.

It obviously is something that matters otherwise you would not be on here talking about it all morning.

Its a Football Forum, its pissing down with rain and I'm waiting for Murray to come on for the tennis.Yes it matters but unforetunately I have things that matter in my life a whole lot more and I have to keep things in perspective,I know that maybe bewildering to you and sometimes its a right bastard for me as well

How can you not know? Danny had an offer from Sheff Utd, but he chose us, he must be mental, unless of course he didn't get the league tables out for the last 5 years and chose us on reasons not related to past league finishes.

I have never thought about it but maybe he liked what Pearson had to say, or maybe the wages were higher, or maybe he believed we have a great chance of building on last seasons success.

Good job we kept those deadly league tables away from him.

This argument seems a tad misinterpreted IMHO.

Surely how a club is judged as big, medium or small is based on an overall package and it's long term history and maybe some averages.

Historiclly our club is a medium sized club, based on support, league standings and trophys/finals it has appeared in?

If histoically we have maintained an overall average of the above which is higher than others the we righly ARE a bigger club than PNE.

The other poster who said we are about the same as WBA, Forest and so on is correct in my opinion. Our club (IMO) is a far more attractive short, medium and long term pospect than PNE, their troughs are greater than ours and their peaks are shorter. This is why Forest are the same relative size to us...

Does anyone know if there is actually any truth in this rumour ?

I wouldn't get excited Harbs, if he managed to check any of the league tables over the last 5 years there's no chance on earth he'd come here.

Or maybe he thought Sheff U were a better team and as a League 2 player he wouldnt get to play and so picked us because he would more games as we arent as good? :102:

I was also talking about all these "Top" players people think we are going to attract.

No you were saying players (not just top quality ones) would not come to us over teams who have finished consistantly higher than us, you were wrong of course, just admit it and move on to your next argument.

Also I would imagine Danny is a player who believes in his own ability, I doubt very much he would have moved to Rangers if he had the attitude you suggest in the first part of your post.

I have provided you with evidence that suggests your argument is flawed, simple.
