Sell him at that money and get Cleverly back on loan.

This is very good news, how much do we have to pay to get rid of him again?

Yeah I agree. Lets sell a young goalscoring midfielder with bags of potential, who may or may not make it, but without question falls into the 'may' catagory. Excellent idea.

he is a **** and you know it, you don't watch city too often do you?

I went down often enough to gauge that for a lad having his first full season, despite having a tendency to go missing in games on occasion, he has two good feet, is a good passer, without question knows where the goal is, and is more than reasonable in the air. He's got potential and it strikes me as a typically myopic and moronic assessment of him to say 'get rid'.

Many thanks for the assumptions of me though, truly appreciated. I take it your username is drizzled in irony, yes?

You are in a very small minority on this one, a lof of people who watch every week rate him highly, myself included.

There are more of us around than you think beighton, King needs carrying in games which we only just got away with last season, this season his goals will not make up for his many short fallings in other areas!! If a decent offer comes in, snap there hands off!!!

Villa are looking to push for a Top Four position and arent going to be paying out for an in-experienced midfielder, who goes missing in games and cant tackle.

Dont get me wrong King has the potential to be good, but he is a long way of the Premiership and needs to start improving rapidly if he is ever going to get there.

You watched him playing third tier football against shite teams, he should have looked good against that lot. This season will show him up a lot. He will not be able to go missing so often. A bad player is rarely shown up when in a winning team. It's when they start to lose that they become more visable to every one.

as for King...i say wait and see next season, he's only young and maybe next season he'll click. he did p1ss me off everytime i watched him last season, but that weren't much

He is certainly not the finished article but there were games last season when he carried a poor performance from Oakley or Berner with him, and normally looks very composed on the ball.

:038::038::038::038::038: he is also a long way off Championship potential too. Unless he has worked on things during the break.

I would happily guess that the ratio of carrying was 45:1 in favour of Oakley :icon_wink

Again I think it depends what type of midfielder you expect or want him to be. As a defensive midfielder he is very poor, as he doesn't tackle often, however as an attacking player with someone holding behind him then I think he is more than capable in the championship. I think he has a lot to learn before he makes the jump to the Premier though, but Stearman appears to have managed it.

As we always say it is about opinions on here and mine is whenever Oakley, Berner or whoever had a bad game the midfield fell apart rather than King carrying anybody!!

IMO if he got stuck in more then it would help him significantly. He doesnt have to turn into a battling midfielder, but even attacking midfielders like Lampard, Scholes, Gerrard do there fair share.

How do you work this out?
