According to a well known rumours site Andy King is a target for Barnsley. :icon_wink

Barnsley will have a mini clear out but will bring a number of players in. Peru international will join from Coronel Bolognesi in exchange for Miguel Mostto, Solomon Okoronkwo will join from Russian side Saturn, Ifet Taljevic from Swiss side Neuchâtel Xamax, Andy King from Leicester, Jamie Cureton permanently from Norwich, Omar Koroma from Portsmouth and Nick Montgomery from Sheff United in exchange for Brina Howard aswell as £700,000.

Rot. He's not the finished article but he's getting there.

And he scores goals too!

he is still shite,

I remember Akinbiyi scoring goals but that didn't make him any good did it?

Funnily enough SkySports had a little featurette on some of his misses in a City shirt - the game against Liverpool when he could have had a hat-trick but missed all those sitters instead.

and we also know of those long range effort from King missing the goal by miles as well

Andy King will not be leaving the club in the near future.

Yeah, it'd be great news to move on an ever present midfielder that has scored multiple key goals from a team that won its last 6(?) games.

Amazing.

I have to say I find it quite hard to believe that people will give a 20 yr? ( at most) such a hard time when he's trying to find his feet. I have seen Andy King play as much as any of you, and football is all about opinions, but with the right people around him he could turn out to be a decent player, and to score 8 goals already from midfield isn't a bad return for any age! Since Oaky-doke has moved to the right he's looked more at ease playing his own game in the middle.

I know it's not the same , but Roy Keane wouldn't have looked even a quarter of the player in a forest shirt that he became @ United. Point being, once NP surrounds him with that little extra quality that allows him to get on with his game, then you can Judge him! Until then cut him some slack, trust in NP and enjoy being top of the league ffs!

Good to hear your comments when you are Miles Away and never seen him play.
Compare him with Davies and there is no contest.

carry on getting your knowledge from listening to Radio Leicester.

This is never going to happen. Why would we want to sell a first choice centre mid for 800k?? Now im not a great fan of Kings but he is tidy enough - if not spectacular. He reminds me in a way to Michael Carrick in that he often just saunters around the park doing feck all. However as he does have an eye for goal and is clearly still very young i think people need to keep it in perspective. This is his first year of full first team footie and all in all i think he's done okay. I reckon he'll defo get better and has a good future ahead of him, if not premiership then championship at least.

BG, you've seemed very negative as of late. Where's your Christmas spirit?

Personally I wouldn't want to see King move on at the moment.. at least not without a decent replacement. Whatever he's been doing the rest of the match, he's helped with a good share of goals from midfield this season (something we've been crying out for in recent seasons), and I think I'm right in saying that quite a few of his goals have actually been matchwinners?

Keep hold of him I say, unless we get an amazingly good offer (£1m+ plus)

Seeing a homegrown player such as King prosper has been one of the highlights of the season so far for me, and some of his goals have been 3 pointers for the team. He hopefully will continue to improve and should get physically stronger as well, which will only benefit his game, and therefore his contribution to the side.

Am I the only person who couldn't give a toss if our players are "home grown"?
