We've taken a young lad from Celtic - Jack Lyons. Apparently, he was a young twerp posting insanely complicated tactical analysis about Celtic in a blog he did and Rodgers invited him for a chat and promptly offered him a job. Since when, he'd been promoted to providing the analysis on opponents for Celtic under Rodgers.

I guess he's coming to do similar for us.

We used to get the Chronicle Pink on a Saturday evening. Most of the scores were down as late result....absolute ****ing waste of paper. Can't remember the headlines but guess they'd be about teams probably having won by full time.

It was known as the buff because of its colour.

When I was a kid, one season I cut out all the match reports from the Sports Mercury and stuck them in a scrapbook. It's how we entertained ourselves in the days before smart phones, internets and televisions.
They stopped publishing the Sports Mercury part way through the season, and launched the Sunday Extra newspaper which newsagents were expected to deliver for free along with the proper Sunday papers.

Eventually they started publishing the Sports Mercury again. But I was too old for scrapbooks by then.

I did exactly the same thing. I had a scrapbook of match reports for every game for a couple of seasons.

I think that makes us two sad, old bastards.
