I remember the Sporting Blue, was that some kind of reboot of this Buff? It seemed pointless as the radio was reliable by then (mid/late 80s I'm guessing) to get results across the country from there. At what point did radio start to be able to do that?

You could definitely still get the sporting blue in the 1999/2000 season

Yeah, but did you do that, and then go down to the training ground and get the players to sign the photos....

:100:

When we first moved to the states in the summer of 1994 we used to have those we left behind mail us the "green" every week so we could keep up to date on scores. When people got fed up of that I used to have to go to an international newspaper merchants and sneak a look at the match reports. I'd buy a Loaded magazine from there too ... you know, for wanking.

When we were in the League Cup final in 1997 we called home and had them put the phone by the radio so we could listen. That obviously went to extra time and a replay. Probably spent a lot more than the people that attended the actual matches on that particular indulgence.

I've also got a picture from one of Citys football camps with then captain Simon Grayson. I don't wank to that.

Glory Days, eh. Now it's all pink kits and high definition pornography.

I think there was a thread about this a few years ago, but I don’t know what it was called.

How old are people on this website?

I’m 43, to start things off.

Do you remember the Sporting Green and the Buff. Bill Anderson writing bollocks.

Ink coming off all over your hands. Rip 'em up for ticker tape.

Jumpers for goalposts.
*ink coming off all over your brass hand? Getting Pearson’s brass hand wax all over the carpet and getting a thrashing? Eh? Eh? Do you remember?
