only if you have money

There's a lot of life after football whether you have money or not. To be penniless is one matter - to be half-crippled is quite another.

not if you're knocked down and killed by a rampaging elephant the day after you quit football.

I used to play cricket with Henri Lansbury til Arsenal made him stop.

Regarding Weso, I think theres a bit of overreacting going on here, if it was a persistent ligament problem or something like Ledley King I could understand all the 'his career is over' comments, but steady on.

He is not going to retire because of a broken ankle. Even if he has broken his leg twice before. Its not like he's running around and his leg suddenly snaps, these are poor challenges doing damage, its just bad luck.

It did break when he was "running around" at Brighton. :icon_conf

Vrey ture.

His recent injury record is awful, serious injuries too. He may well recover physically and be able to compete at a reasonable level. As a manager I would be concerned about commiting to a contract for someone who appears to be fragile. I would also be concerned that these injuries and fear of others may take the edge of his agressive game. His future may well be out of his hands.

Its a horrible thing to happen to him.

Toatally agree, telling him to call it a day is ridiculous, he's still growing for one thing and these things happen.

Bones grow back stronger after breaking and as long as his ligaments/muscles aren't affected, then he'll be fine.

I'm more concerend about getting someone in to cover for the next couple of months

It was described to me he has 'bruising inside the bone'. He's fecked. No immediate cure apart from rest.

'Bruising inside the bone'? Who described it to you like that? Was it a specialist? :icon_lol:

Skin & tissue bruises, not bones.

on the cheltenham os saying he needs an operation

I know I'm a doctor in name only, but I'm pretty sure they will have to drill into the middle of his leg bones to relieve the internal bone bruising that he's suffering from.

The phrase 'bruised bone' usually refers to bleeding under the bones surface.

Making up medical knowledge can get you in a lot of trouble DF, trust me.

But as I said to the judge, I was impersonating timelord Dr Who, not a gynaecologist.

It's Clemence who is alleged to have bruising inside his bones, not Wesolowski.

Maybe I should move the Clemence posts to a new thread to stop all this confusion :icon_conf

On a different note, Allen has signed yet another loan player for Cheltenham today. The guy is fecking barmy.....

Clemence is suffering from 'Bone Edema' which developed when he was injured. If he runs, he's at risk of fracturing his bone. It's damaged bone marrow.

You really don't know what you're talking about. Let's be thankful that Weso will be able to take advice from people who do.

I've always had 'big bones' - is that something similar ?

Its a fact or it was how the doctor explained it to me when I was hit on the shin by a cricket ball travelling at 100mph+
