I was talking to my son, (it happens) he met a guy who recently served in the Royal Irish Rangers in Iraq. He was saying that whenever you see "insurgents" on t.v., they are armed with old "soviet era" weaponry.. In fact what they came up against/ captured was the latest in French munitions..Takes me back to the Falkland's "war" when both France and the U.K. were part of the E.U. but our gallant Gallic bretheren were so busy selling Exocet missiles to the Argentine.
