i think that milan knows what he is doing, he did well for pompey in the end, give MA another month, to get a couple of wins, (good wins) of give im the boot

If MM thinks he needs to sack a manager a month into the season he obviously doesn't know what he's doing.

Why?

or he could have just realised what a big feck off mistake he has made, and should have gone with Colin Wanker in the first place and not listened to the fans

Well it's a good job MM wasn't here when MON was here, as he would have been sacked after that Sheff Utd game!!

Because if he thinks he needs to sack someone so soon he's obviously not a good judge of a manager, to have taken him on in the first place.

as I said in my previous post, he might just have realised he made a mistake, and the mistake needs to be rectified quick.

To be honest, I cannot see MA being here too long anyway, I think he is in too deep water for his comfort

One of our big problems in recent seasons has been changing manager too often.
We need some stability, and that means giving MA some time to build a team without pressure to get instant success.
Most successful teams have managers who have been given a chance, it's rare for them to achieve immediate success.

All the talk of giving MA 6, 10 games etc is ridiculous. If we've seen some progress by the end of the season I'd hope he's given a chance to continue.

If MM sacks MA because MA stands up for himself, no self respecting manager will want to come here and we'll end up with a yes man and the players won't respond to someone they know isn't really in charge.

And a chairman needs a manger who is going to work with him in a respectful way.

Whether MA is the right man or not, if MM sacks him after a month, it's MM's mistake.

and a really big businessman would hold his hand up and own up to it and sack the mistake. I can see it coming

Indeed - but the mistake might have been in appointing him in the first place.

That's the point I was making several posts ago.

Well his record of hiring and firing suggests that he is not too concerned about such instances being seen as a sign of his own weakness - but rather that of the outgoing manager

I doubt if that would be on his mind for an instant

Assuming you mean manager, have you heard that MA has been acting in a disrespectful way?

I do mean manager. At the moment, let's just say that I am talking about managers in general and chairman in general - but if the criterium applies to a recently appointed manager, it is no less valid or important.

Sorry. I've got a short session at Preson library with no time to read everything.
