another prem big boy out tonight. man city losing on pens 3-0

If the Cup draw for the next round is still seeded now the other 8 Premiership clubs join in we will be in the OTHER group along with Doncaster Mansfield and Grimsby. So we should draw a Premiership club.

Probably FULHAM AWAY:eek:

WIGAN AWAY would be interesting as DC  would no doubt play.
or BLACKBURN AWAY to get revenge for last season

wouldnt mind villa at home myself.

City were going to offer cheap tickets but Blackpool wanted normal Championship prices. So the Footie League stepped in and set the prices.

O! The Pleat Years!

We also got 4,000 against Gainsborough Trinity in the 1905-06 season!

3,440 in the SIMOD CUP against Huddersfield. 1987-88

The same happened against them last year in the cup reply, Blackpool would not budge on ticket price and wanted 'full price' tickets.
This year LCFC wanted to do the tickets prices so that members and season ticket holders paid a fiver and the rest a tenner, but Blackpool were having non of it. Stupid really.

I'm not surprised you don't remember it - it never happened!! The attendance for that game was 11,661.

Where did you get your figure, Hazzman?

No, its a WH Smith's history of LCFC.

Its got all fixtures, scorers, appearances etc. at the back.
With a dapper looking Frank on the cover?
I've got that one too. It's down as 1,664 in mine too. Hence the perplexion...

The board had heard that there were a lot of Blackpool fans living in Corby and so arranged for the North and East Stands to be set aside for their use. Extra candy-floss and tangerine-coloured sticks of rock were ordered in great quantities for sale in the retail outlets on the concourses. Unfortunately only about 150 of them turned up for the game.

I think there has been some confusion.

I think that's one of the best posts ever on this forum.

The board showed tremendous imagination there - tho' probably got confused with a lot of people in Corby going to Blackpool for the illuminations or something.

and I can't believe 150 actually turned up from Corby -
