Auto-refresh on TB?

Is it possible for a forum site like TalkingBalls to update automatically like the BBC live football pages?

During a match thread, rather than pressing F5 to update every so often it would be clever if the page updated itself every 2 minutes.

Is it do-able?

There would probably be a way to make it happen with a bit of programming, but I think it would just cause problems. For example it would be annoying if you were half way through typing something in the quick reply box when the page decided to reload.

There are browser plugins that will let you do this for any site.

I suggested an ajax type system before for something like this and Jeff quite rightly pointed out that for any thread other than the match thread nobody posts often enough for this to be remotely useful.
