I have noticed that the red/brown split seems to be set into age groups. Tbh this reflects on my own life I was always a red sauce man until around a year ago and now I am a devout brown sauce fan.

Ketchup on bacon cobs is great.....:038::038::038:

Exactly what I said to my "combatant" the other day Leroy, "Brown Sauce is for old men"

Exactly, it MUST be Heinz!!!

Although I did have some the other day, can't remember the brand but it was comparable. I'm sure somebody else will tell me what brand it was :icon_wink

 Surely not, would be interesting to know what it was but I would hazard a guess that there was too much vinegar in it, there always is in these wana-be Tommy Ks.

I was on the assumption that pork/pig where bacon comes from is not red meat.

That is the wrong assumption.

If white meat comes from birds & red meat from mammals, can you see where the pig fits into that?

Isn't he trying to get a move out of Man Ure? :102:

I feel so ashamed that I spelt the best sauce in the world incorrectly. I think I'm going to wash my mouth out with soap for insulting the king of all sauces. :icon_redf

Red sauce is what kids have on their MacDonalds happy meal.

I think pork is they grey area in the red/white meat debate, however Im fairly confident it is red meat.

In the gastronimic circles pork is considered a white meat, for nutritional values it's considered red.

I have no definitive answer, that's why i used a question mark, it was a question, not a statement.

And I was asking why it was 'surely' a white meat??

I disagree with your statement about it being considered a white meat.
