Wednesday: fly to San Jose, California, via Salt Lake City (no need to ask, that is the way)
Thursday: creep around a San Jose park with the camera in search of Bobcats (Lynx).
Friday: Pelagic trip on a fishing boat from Monterey out to the Monterey Seavalley, looking for albatrosses and blue whales and the like.
Saturday: listen to the City game on the interweb at 7am, then fly back to Tucson via Phoenix.
Sunday-Tuesday: sort through a couple of thousand out of focus photos of the sea at funny angles....

That's my week sorted :icon_bigg :icon_bigg :icon_bigg

Not doing much then des :icon_lol::icon_lol::icon_lol:

Don't know how you cope.....

Can't complain, really... :icon_cool

Feck all as im skint.
:056:

The above isn't going to cost all that much either (which is of course relative to how much you can afford to fritter away on something as frivilous as chasing albatrosses and wild cats around).

Trip to San Jose and back is $265, the boat trip is $135, my mate's picking me up from the airport, doing all the driving and putting me up. The bobcat park is walking distance from his house...

Is that what you call dogging outhere?:102:
Catwalking maybe?

Funnily enough, the phenomenon of dogging doesn't seem to have caught on here.

At least, I can't find any. And I've really ****ing tried.

I think we're off to Brancaster on monday if the weather's semi decent

Spent the day on Brancaster beach on Saturday MK, fecking glorious weather all day. It was a bit busy near the entrance but loads of room further up. We got a spot in one of the recesses in the dunes and had a splendid day, Mrs M did a spanking picnic and the kids and the dog had a whale of a time in the sea. (Bit cold for me).

Its a bit of a trendy place now Brancaster innit? A lot of BBQ sardines and Pinot Grigo on show and the car park was full of Chelsea tractors! Good day out though.

Sounds right up Mk's street that...:icon_roll

Camping at Edale for us, bloody beautiful scenery.

We truly have a beautiful country, ( however, not blessed with the best inhabitants I agree!!!)

I can never believe the plebs that set themselves up right by the entrance there. Just walk for 5 minutes and you'll get loads of room. :icon_roll

were the kite surfers out?

it's a shame about the 'up from london' crowd, but it's still a great beach.
nice part of the world, every time we go up there I always try and catch crabs in wells.....

Invest in good waterproof gear Nathan,if there is one thing that ruins walking/climbing its the rain and getting wet.My jacket cost £300 but its worth every penny

I've spent £90 on a jacket and the same on some decent boots. I'm off to buy a couple of pairs of trousers at the weekend. I'm hoping the weather isn't too bad but last year was terrential rain from start to finish. It took some teams 17 hours to complete the first day (only 7 out of the 22 teams finished it!).

Good Luck anyway,bit envious:)

The Eltermere Hotel next to Elterwater is fantastic. The walks around the area are gentle but the heavy stuff is within reach.

I'm just starting to get into heavier stuff, did a bit of 'scrambling' last week, enjoyed it but it was a bit 'tricky' in places...100 feet up staring down at water
