Just finished watching the first 2 seasons, and waiting for season 3 to be delivered.

I Think its excellent, very gripping. anybody watch it?

I put the first season of BG on my LOVEFiLM list a while back and when I got the first disk, I watched the first 10 minutes before turning it off. Absolute crap!

Give me Stargate any day of the week over that drivel

Was that the Movie introduction, or the first episode of season one?

I Could never get into Stargate, i tried a few times because some friends raved about it, but didn't enjoy it. I think maybe its similar to Battlestar in that you have see it from the beggining to understand it all?

I bought the mini series DVD of the 'new' BG, and thought it was crap so I never watched any more - I prefer the original seventies version.

I agree with Rhys about Stargate, it has a sense of humour that the other SF series don't have, although the last 2-3 series weren't as good, the first seven were excellent.

I've never seen a movie of BG, so im pretty sure it was just the start of season one.

I think as soon as Richard Dean Anderson left, it went downhill a bit, but I thought the final season was brilliant. They are currently making some direct to DVD movies to finish off some storylines and prolong the series a bit more.

Stargate Atlantis is another must-see. Just as funny and just as good as SG-1

I meant feature length, sorry. The DVD i have of it is one long (about 2 1/2 hours) film.
