City striker Jermaine Beckford has tonight (Friday) agreed a loan move to Huddersfield Town.
The 28-year-old forward heads to the John Smith’s Stadium until Saturday 29 December and could make his debut for the Terriers against Watford in the npower Championship on Saturday.

Beckford joined City from Everton a year ago and has made 49 appearances for the Foxes, scoring 15 times.

He will be ineligible for selection when City travel to the John Smith’s Stadium to play Huddersfield in the npower Championship on Tuesday 2 October.

That is unbelievable. What are you lot playing at giving a rival team who are second a player like Beckford ?

I'm sorry, we apologise wholeheartedly. I'll ring Becks right now and tell him the deal is off, whether he likes it or not

What a ****ing joke.

Cannot fathom this decision at all. Not pleased.

Can we recall him for the playoffs?

Not convinced by this one unless we replace him. Waghorn is not on the same level even if he tries harder.

A ****ish decision of wank stain proportions.

When will we ever learn?

So, that's finally done then. When is Danns off to Leeds so that we can talk about other stuff? Like how many games until Pear Son is sacked

Well I am going to buck the trend. A good decision in my opinion. Too many false dawns. Too many occasions where he has contributed nothing. Potentially a huge wage off the books if he goes permanently. I am quite happy with what we have got.

Why are people surprised and moaning? It was on the cards... we dont know the ins and outs of it all.

Talk about overreaction.

He's looked like a Sunday league player at times.

Yes we have seen glimpses of class but nothing to suggest we shouldn't let him go.

Questionable to sell him to a rival but I don't think Huddersfield will be up there over 46 games.

Perhaps now we have freed up funds to get someone else in?

I'd rather he stayed, but he was clearly out of favour for whatever reason and him fighting his way back into the first team never looked likely. I do worry that we don't have adequate back up should we lose Nugent or Vardy for one reason or another.

He's not sold; he's only on loan to Dec 29.
