Young defender Ben Nelson has joined League Two side Doncaster Rovers on loan until the end of the 2022/23 campaign, subject to EFL approval.
The 18-year-old, who spent the first half of the season on loan at Rochdale, has risen through City’s ranks in recent years and was named Academy Player of the Year in 2020/21.
He made 12 appearances in all competitions for The Dale and will now continue his footballing education at the Eco-Power Stadium.
The South Yorkshire side are next in action when they host Tranmere Rovers on Saturday 21 January (3pm GMT kick-off).
