The question for the thread was who is the best signing. Hignett or Brooker have not been given a decent run so its not fair to knock them. Hignett did have a good game against Leeds and put in some very good crosses to the back post for Scowey. Brooker hasn't had his chance yet - judge him then.

I reckon Bent will prove the most important signing. When we stay up it will because we started to score goals and his pace have been the most important factor.

Perhaps we'll have to dip into the transfer market again at the end of the season if qualify for Europe.

that's exactly why were saying brooker and hignett are the worst players, if they aren't gonna get in the team whats the point having them, i understand that you have to have cover but we've got plenty of that, out of the new signing's they are the 2 most likly to make an impact

Can't really understand the Hignett arguement. In the only league game we've won this season, he was excellent down the right flank, and his versatility ensures he's always worth at least a place on the bench, if not a starting role!!!

He wasnt excellent. During the game i thought he was the weakest link, he wasnt showing much effort and many of his crosses were as bad as Gillespies were against Spurs. But thats my opinion

Most impressive signings so far are Thatcher and Sciemica, with Bent looking in good form. Worst signing is John Curtis. His distribution is poor and marking can be very sloppy. I felt he cost us the game against Spurs. Also there seems to be a lack of confidence from the rest of the team in giving him the ball, even when he's in plenty of space.

Would have to agree with both Scowcroft and teenfox...

Can't decide between Thatcher and Scimeca... they've both been excellent...

What about worst signing... For me it's got to be Howey...

Howey was Ok for the games against Chelsea and Middlesborough. Then was the Villa game........  :!:

But why has Howy been axed to accomidate Taggs. I think Howy is much better option and is eing punished for half an hours poor perforamnce. Impey was worst than Howy in that game anyway.
