From the Daily Mail:

"Leicester owner Milan Mandaric has made some baffling decisions in his time with his choice of advisers.

None more so than his latest off-field decision to part company with communications chief Jon Sanders and replace him with grizzled veteran local newspaper football reporter Bill Anderson, the most unlikely spin-doctor you could possibly find. "

You've got to be taking the michael surely ??

Just seen this above in the same article

"Portsmouth's new owner Dr Sulaiman Al Fahim has taken on a top sports PR consultant to ensure the UAE billionaire property developer stops making the outrageous comments that led to him being sidelined as the front man at Manchester City by the Abi Dhabi United Group.

Paul Mace, former Leicester City communications chief (right), who has been a long-term adviser to Aston Villa manager Martin O'Neill before setting up his own agency Mace Sport that looks after Stan Collymore and Robbie Savage, will be attempting to minimise enthusiastic publicist Sulaiman's claims about signing the world's best players.
But hands-on boss Sulaiman will be making changes at Portsmouth when due diligence is completed. A high profile new manager can be expected with former England boss Sven Goran Eriksson a strong contender. "

hardly, if anything he seems over-qualified

been towing the party line for many a year

Probably his reward for the Mockery's coverage of the takeover.

And as those of us who are long in the tooth know a reward for about 30 years of lackying. Well done Bill - the job that you have been doing for years is now officially your's.

So he gets paid by the club to write drivel instead of the Mercury. Perhaps we might get some decent journalism from there now instead of some of the sickening sycophancy that's been prevalent the last few years.

That is an absolutely shocking appointment. :bang::bang::bang:

Only if they want someone to alienate the fans have the club got the right man :098::098:

Dreadful. Paul Mace was a poor slimy excuse for PR, but this is disgusting. Anderson is the worst footie journo I have ever encountered (and I HAVE met a few). He lives in an alternative universe. But if they want candyfloss for brains, and a noddy Churchill dog, he's yer man. He's no Brian Reade (who I also know, and was pretty damned good until he came out of his sport comfort zone)

Oh dear. What a waste of space, and our money..............

Does the Comminications Director get involved with the fans? I thought he dealt with the press. Bill Anderson will have worked with any number of communications directors over the years and on the principle of "poacher turned gamekeeper" may do a good job.

Dealing with the fans is surely the job of Alan Birchenall and Peter Jones.

If he has replaced Sanders as head of media, then he will be responsible for all communication including the website & LCFC world. That means ensuring everything written attracts fans to games, buy merchandise, so all fans comms.

Reading all the message boards when he departed the Mercury, there was a universal celebration, hardly a basis of having fans on his side now

who cares..press releases from the club, that's it

New editor at Merc blogs and mentioned Anderson - not sure he was that impressed. I've heard they are replacing and have a lot of applications ... more than 100.
