The atmosphere may have been better because the fans saw the team actually try for the last third of the match.Its not Rocket Science if the fans see efort they will encourage the side

I think it was the other way round, the players responded to the support they were getting.

To be fair HF, the kop was chanting and singing before the team started to perform.
They kept a chant up for ages, best atmosphere there for a long time. They need to do this against Wolves from the start....

my opinion some of the players might be thinking there gone at the end of the season so why put the effort in, but players like hume and kisnorbo and that put effort in because they love the club and wanna stay
