Can't believe there isn't a thread for this yet!

Whose got it then? I gave in and brought it and it got delivered today-not had a go yet. Better or worse than MW2?
 
Well, I haven't got it yet...I'm actually testing myself to see how long i can go without purchasing it.

Quick note:

How is the hype on Black Ops, here in Holland the Hype isn't as big as MW2. That was nuts hence i went and got it, i followed the hype, Black Ops = nothing speical?
 
Its on a par with MW2. Essentially the same game but with different setting/maps/weapons/perks/killstreaks etc. Its still addictive on multiplayer :)

I think I actually prefer the story due to the historical element etc. Just completed the first couple of levels, yet to do multiplayer but will do soon
 
(Going to sound like a RL mong lol) Not got the game myself yet, but heard that the game is good, but the online game play is not as polished as MW2 (PS3 format)
Still running around on MW2 myself as not had the map packs long enough to justify getting Black Ops yet!

I'm suprised at that comment. To me it feels like they've taken MW2 and polished it. Theres a few visual bugs which you get with any new release that I'm sure they'll iron out over time with a patch but in general it's superior IMO. Certainly the wager matches, cod money and the extended challenges and contracts add a new dimension.

Always good to hear a different opinion and it could be that the visual bugs are what they are talking about. Another comment was that they were not blown away by Black Ops the same as they were with MW2, but I put that down to not being able to improve as much as the last one.
I will continue on MW2 for a while and hope Santa feels generous! lol

What format you on Durham?

In on 360.

I wasn't blown away either but it is better than MW2.
 
I'll probably get it as I'd like to have a look at the campaign. Multiplayer wise I'll more than likely stick to Halo :Icon_lol:
 
I liked the single player but the videos in between bored me. Especially now that I'm doing it on the hardest setting; I've already watched the 5min long video with the President, so why would I want to watch it again?!

But the game itself is just like MW2, and maybe slightly more polished.
