Just got back...

no width, still lacking a good first touch from most players, going backwards when we should have been attacking, no sense of urgancy when going 0-1 down, i could go on and on... :icon_sad:

Walking away from that this arvo makes me feel very despondant.

N'Gotty the only player imo to come out of the game with any credit.

Clemence and Kish need to talk to each other more cos they didn't link up well at all, and Clemence needs to read up on what a captain actually is.
He was v. poor.

Another gripe...what the fúck is the point of lumping the ball up to MDV? 9/10 he WON'T win the header, he would do better with the ball palyed to his feet but unfortunately our midfield was, just like last season, absent for large parts of the game.

Blackpool were disciplined and fought for every ball, and deserved the points.
Yes, we might have had chances, but we had chances like that in several games last season and still wouldn't have scored if we had played past midnight.

I wasn't one of these fans who thought we'd start the season brilliantly, nor am I expecting automatic promotion(tbh there's far too much work to do to think about that, though it would be nice!)
However, I didn't see anything in today's performance to make me think any differently than from after most games last season!

good advice. seasons aren't decided on the first day. we may have not have played to everybody's high expectations but we have to be patient. panicking now is only going to make the situation more difficult.
