I agree. A good example of instant results though and doesn't interfere with the flow of the game, which is where many of the other examples fail.

I still find it staggering that they haven’t applied a time limit to VAR checks and thicker lines.

This would surely kill any ambiguity?

Wouldn’t it increase ambiguity, but lessen the need for absolute accuracy to make a decision?

The lines aren’t 100% accurate now due to timings so time is spent looking to make it accurate.

Just make the line the equivalent of a few cm wide and give the advantage to the attacking team.

It is also going to hand a massive advantage to teams full of players who can retain possession…such as Man City.

I know we’re not meant to like Spurs things, but I can’t help but like him. Sort of bloke you’d like to have as your manager, as he not only seems good at his job, but also just seems to get it.

Shouldn't be at Spurs long. All depends where next. If I were in charge at Liverpool I'd be tapping him up already. Of course I hope that doesn't happen as then I'd be obliged to hate him more than I do.
