I think we should play the long game.Bolton could go down this season & we are going up so we'll be in the same league.
This time next year we could be having a decent season in the Championship,looking to strengthen for the run in & Bolton could be struggling after having sacked Ginger & not found the right man to take over.Davies could then think "oh feck me what a terrible mistake" & we pick him up for less than Bolton paid as they look to trim the wage bill in the realisation that they will be spending more than one season outside the prem.

Always look on the bright side.
 
I'm listening to the Bolton game on Talksport and Davies is playing well. Stan Collymore likes how he's doing.
 
Having just watched the Bolton highlights on MOTD, he set up one, nearly scored a couple and looked easily good enough for that standard.
Good luck to the lad, shame he's playing for Megson, that's the thing which grates most.
 
Just watching the highlights now and he looks equally as good as he was for us. I guess it's proof that a genuinely good player will be good whatever the level of game he is at. I think Davies will make it into the full England set up into the not too distant future and that's likely the main reason ebhind him seeking a move to the premiership.

Nice to see Mr. Lineker giving us Foxes a quick mention ;)
 
I'd say he's someway off an England callup!

Maybe get to the U21s if he can stay fit for the rest of the season though...
 
I disagree. If he can keep up those sort of performances he will offer England something they don't have enough of at the moment and it probably wouldn't be long before he starts commanding attention from the real premiership big boys.

It won't be immediately obviously but I think it could be sooner than most people might think..
 
He's a young player with potential who could not hold a regular place in a Championship team and has now moved to a lower mid-table Premiership team. If Kevin Nolan couldn't get in the England squad whilst at Bolton on a regular basis then how the hell is Davies going to get anywhere near it?

It all depends on injuries, if he manages to stay fit then I've no doubt that he'll move on to better things.
 
I also think most of us couldn't give a shit about him and if he gets an England call up or not. To me he is now irrelevant

I hope the lad does well as I feel sooner rather than Later Bolton will know what it is like to lose him.I hope he has an Irish Grand Mother as we would take him :icon_wink

OH FFS The **** only played a couple of games for us, not long enough to get all upset about him leaving us.

Why would he need an Irish Grandmother for us to take him again?
