The 70's and 80's promotions were based on the top 3 going up, after that it was the current system of top 2 plus a play-off winner.

g Peterborough...….Yes the league 1 season had Posh has runners-up. Who were the play -off winners ?

G YES.... Peterborough and Scunthorpe were the two that followed us back to the Championship.
